The Respected Retired Judge

Judge Stanley B. Steines (ret.) is a highly-regarded, long time Circuit Judge of Whiteside County. Judge Steines retired at the end of 2023, after 16 years on the bench. In February 2024, Judge Steines joined the Law Firm of Mertes & Mertes as an attorney concentrating in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases. Judge Steines is admitted to the practice of law in the State of Illinois and the State of Iowa. Steines is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Whiteside County Bar Association.
